EcoLogic was commissioned to carry out works on a large, 19th century family house on Ampthill Road in the Calthorpe Estate, Birmingham. The three-storey red brick building was of considerable historical value, having been owned by Major Walter Clopton Wingfield, the founder of lawn tennis, in the mid-1800s.
In order to return the building to its former condition, the current owners wanted the stains from years of organic growth to be removed from the outer walls and a previous coating of paint to be removed from the natural stone window ledges. EcoLogic took great care to provide a range of non-abrasive cleaning processes that would protect the porous stone and the brickwork mortar, as well as produce a spotless finish.
