The oak beams on the top floor of an 18th century building in the centre of Warwick had been painted with white gloss in the 70s, with a number of additional coats added over the years.
As part of a project to completely renovate the building, combining modern fittings with its original features, the architect commissioned EcoLogic to remove all traces of the gloss coating from the beams and bring them back their original rustic golden colour.
After applying a natural, paint softening solution, EcoLogic utilised a cleaning system that successfully revealed the grain of the wood and did not require water to ensure there was no permanent damp staining on the beams.
